Backers say a just-passed bill in the Ohio Legislature will protect the religious rights of students. Education groups say the legislation will get in the way of teachers in the classroom.

“This bill would not be necessary were it not for the machinations of militant secularists seeking to eliminate the most elementary examples of religious expression in schools,” the New York City-based Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights said in a statement following the bill’s House passage. READ MORE HERE
