INSIDE THE HEAD OF AN ABORTION LOVER

Catholic League president Bill Donohue comments on Sen. Ed Markey:

Most people who call themselves pro-choice do not support abortion-on-demand, and indeed favor restrictions on when and why a woman should be able to abort her child. But there are some extremists who want no restrictions. There are even some who really love abortion.

Patricia Lunneborg is a woman’s study professor and author of the book, Abortion: A Positive Decision. Atheist queen Anne Nicol Gaylor is the author of Abortion Is A Blessing. Ginette Paris, a French author, wrote, The Sacrament of Abortion. And in the U.S. Congress we have Massachusetts Democrat Sen. Ed Markey.

Markey showed up at the State of the Union address wearing a Planned Parenthood pin (he was apparently the only one in the chamber to do so). It simply said, “ABORTION”; right in the middle of the two “O’s” was a heart. He was not referring to the baby’s heart—it was just an expression of his love for abortion.

What makes people like Markey tick? What’s going on inside his head?

Markey’s pedigree is that of an all-star Irish Catholic. He attended Immaculate Conception School and then went to Malden Catholic High School. Next up was Boston College, followed by Boston College Law School. It makes you wonder—what happened to this guy?

Markey’s voting record sports a 100% approval rating from Planned Parenthood and NARAL, the two pro-abortion giants. Predictably, he earned an “F” from Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America.

His lust for abortion is so strong that he even voted against a measure to  prohibit taxpayer funding for abortions for unborn babies diagnosed with Down’s syndrome. He also does not support bills that would provide medical services to children born alive as a result of a botched abortion. Doctor-assisted suicide merits his approval as well.

It would be a serious mistake to think that Markey categorically devalues human life. Not at all. When it comes to rapists and serial murderers, he is very supportive of their lives.

During the 2020 riots, Markey voted to defund the police by moving money slated for cops to nurses and social workers; how they were supposed to be a credible substitute for armed cops he did not say.

He also sought to ban the police from using tear gas, a non-violent way to subdue violent thugs, calling it a “weapon of war.” Again, he did not say what the police were supposed to do when fired upon by criminals who knew in advance that using tear gas was off the table. Call the nurses and social workers?

What about serial murderers sentenced to death? “Abolish the death penalty,” he tweeted in 2020. The following year he voted to prohibit the death penalty at the federal level, and demanded that we re-sentence those on death row.

What about the Boston bomber, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the convicted domestic terrorist who killed three innocent persons and wounded hundreds of others at the 2013 Boston Marathon? Markey said he should not be given the death penalty.

In other words, the unborn have no rights that we need to respect, even though they have never harmed anyone, but convicted murderers have rights we need to respect, and not simply the right to due process—the right to be spared capital punishment.

In 1957, psychologist Leon Festinger published, A Theory of Cognitive Dissonance. He sought to understand how people manage to hold two or more contradictory ideas at the same time (the definition of cognitive dissonance). How a person manages to resolve the inconsistencies  varies, but it includes ignoring their source and changing one’s beliefs.

Diagnosing Markey’s cognitive dissonance is fascinating. It appears that what he was taught in Catholic schools about life and death issues has been ignored, allowing him to develop a militantly secular moral code. Either that or he was taught by those who sought to subvert Catholic teachings.

TAUNTING GRAMMY WINNERS CLAIM VICTIM STATUS

Catholic League president Bill Donohue comments on Sam Smith and Kim Petras:

Like most Americans, we at the Catholic League never heard of Sam Smith or Kim Petras until they won a Grammy award on Sunday. Lots of people won an award, but for some reason these two got the lion’s share of the attention.

Lots of entertainers are bizarre, but these two take the cake, at least until next week.

The entertainment world loves anyone who sticks it to the average American. They especially like those who imitate Satan. If the performer is also sexually confused, that’s a big plus. But one thing is a must: they have to be a victim, even if it means having to intentionally taunt innocent people to get the desired response.

Sam doesn’t know if he is a man or a woman, which is why he calls himself “non-binary.” But this is not true. He is a man. He may think he’s neither a man nor a woman, but that is delusional. We can agree with him on one thing: he likes to celebrate sadomasochism and appeal to the Devil.

But why? Why does Sam like bondage and Satan? Furthermore, it would be instructive to know if he thinks Satan is driving his desire to be whipped.

Prior to his performance, one of Sam’s staff members offered a preview of what it would be like. Sam would be “playing Satan,” he said, and “there will be a lot of devil type stuff, devil worship, and pyrotechnics like you’ve never seen before.”

No one was disappointed. Sam appeared on stage wearing a red leather suit and a very cute Halloween-like hat with red horns. He sang a song named, appropriately, “Unholy.”

Another member of his staff opined before the event that his performance would “make a lot of people very upset,” especially Christians. That, of course, was the point—intentionally inflame Christian sensibilities, and when you’re bashed on social media, claim victim status. Mission accomplished.

Kim Petras is a man who thinks he’s a woman, or what is today called a “transgender person” (they really don’t exist, but that’s for another day). He said he “personally grew up wondering about religion and wanting to be a part of it, but then slowly realizing it doesn’t want me to be a part of it.”

He did not say who told him he could not be a part of whatever religion he was talking about, or why. But he did admit that “as a trans person, I’m kind of already not wanted in religion.” He did not explain why that might be.

Kim wants to claim victim status, but like Sam, that is a stretch. Indeed, it’s contrived. One of his famous numbers is called “Slut Pop.” It is a seven-track performance detailing his many sexual adventures. He dubbed it a “super insanely sexual thing.”

Which raises the question: What made Kim do it? What message was he trying to convey?

After he made his obscene video, Kim said he was bothered by critics for being judgmental. Had they not objected, he would have been devastated. He is proud to be sexually confused and even goes so far as to say that as a “trans woman,” he is very protective of abortion because “I needed to adjust my body to who I am inside.”

Truth to tell, Kim has nothing to worry about. He can never get pregnant and therefore he can never have an abortion. Nature, and nature’s God, has seen to that. At least he can’t victimize an unborn child.

If Sam and Kim weren’t called names, they would hire stunt men to yell at them. Worse, if they were welcomed by the people they taunt, namely Christians, they would go into a deep depression. It is not enough for the sexually confused to play Satan and sing slutty songs. No, they must be rejected by those whom they trash.

Coda: We checked to see if YouTube put an age restriction on Sam’s music video, “I’m Not Here to Make Friends”—it is loaded with sexualized imagery, as well as a shot of Sam being urinated on in a men’s room—and learned that it did not. But they did put an age restriction on our Disney movie, “Walt’s Disenchanted Kingdom.” Tells us volumes about their mentality.

WAR ON RELIGION SPIKING IN U.S. AND U.K.

Catholic League president Bill Donohue comments on the war on religion in the West:

People of faith, mostly Christian, in the United States and the United Kingdom, are being harassed and arrested by government agents at an alarming rate. The most common reason why these non-violent persons are being bullied is their biblical objection to the radical LGBT agenda. Their freedom of speech and freedom of religion are being trounced, and most civil libertarians are cheering it on, so far gone are they from their founding principles.

Here are a few examples of this war on religion.

United States:

  • In January, 2023, a dozen Catholic students and their chaperons from a Greenville, South Carolina Catholic high school were ordered out of the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum in Washington D.C. because they wore beanies with pro-life messages. In town for the annual March for Life, they were allegedly mocked and cursed at by the museum staff.
  • In January, 2023, Ivan Provorov, a hockey player for the Philadelphia Flyers, skipped the warmups on Pride Night because he was expected to wear a pro-Pride jersey. A member of the Russian Orthodox Church, he was subjected to hate speech by some fans and commentators. “I respect everybody’s choices,” he said. “My choice is to stay true to myself and my religion.”
  • In January, 2023, Paul Shoro, a black Christian, walked into the Mall of America in Bloomington, Minnesota, wearing a T-shirt that said, “Jesus Is The Only Way.” Security officers, responding to complaints, said to him, “If you want to shop here you need to take off that shirt.” He was explicitly told that “Jesus is associated with religion and it is offending people.”
  • In August, 2022, on the first day of class at George Washington University, a female psychology professor, Lara Sheehi, berated a Jewish female student in class because she said she was born in Israel. The professor continued to harass Jewish students throughout the semester, smearing their reputations and using bigoted and obscene language to describe Israel on Twitter.
  • In April, 2022, three students at the University of Idaho were asked by a fellow student why the Christian Legal Society (to which they belonged) required its members to believe in the Christian understanding of marriage. After they gave a biblical answer, they were reported to school officials, and three days later the university’s Office of Civil Rights and Investigation censored their speech, ordering the Christian students to stop all communication between them and the complaining student.
  • In January, 2022, a Michigan junior high school student filed suit in U.S. District Court against his high school district because he was suspended for three days the previous fall for stating his Christian beliefs in a private text conversation in a hallway at Plainwell High School.
  • In January 2022, a U.S. Army veteran was arrested for holding a sign that said “God bless the homeless vets.” He was standing on the sidewalk in front of Alpharetta City Hall, a town in Georgia. He was handcuffed by police and charged with “panhandling,” though all he did was to hold the sign. He sued a year later.
  • In October 2021, a scholar-in-residence at Christopher Newport University in Newport News, Virginia, who “proudly and openly identified as a Christian woman of color,” was condemned for criticizing DC Comics for making Superman’s son bisexual. Students protested and wanted her removed from the campus, despite the fact that she deleted her tweet.

United Kingdom:

  • In December, 2022, a Christian English woman, Isabel Vaughan-Spruce, was arrested for silently praying outside an abortion clinic. She faces two years behind bars.
  • In December 2022, a Christian English man, Adam Smith-Connor, was accosted by the police for silently praying outside an abortion clinic. The British army veteran was asked, “Can I ask what is the nature of your prayer today?” He was fined 100-pounds (roughly $123.65).
  • In April, 2022, Pastor John Sherwood was arrested by London police for causing “alarm and distress” to pedestrians. His crime was publicly quoting from Genesis about God’s design for mankind.
  • In April, 2022, a 76-year-old grandmother in Liverpool, England was questioned by the police, and then fined, for praying silently on a public street.

Notice that in every one of these cases it was militant secularists who complained about, or bullied, people of faith, most of whom are Christians. It is not the latter who are seeking to deny the rights of secularists; no, it is secularists who are punishing people of faith.

While all of these incidents are horrific, none smacks of totalitarianism more than the English cop who asked the army veteran, “Can I ask what is the nature of your prayer today?” That is right out of Stalin’s Russia, Hitler’s Germany and Mao’s China. If they can find the technology to read your mind, some will demand that Christians caught praying in public be shot. That’s where we’re headed.

WHY ARE WHITE PEOPLE SO STUPID?

Catholic League president Bill Donohue comments on a new Pew Research Center survey:

There is something wrong with white people. Not all of them, but certainly the ones who have stayed in school the longest. I didn’t say the most well educated—I said the ones who stayed in school the longest.

Biology 101 tells us that the father determines the sex of his child. Not the mother—just the father. And it most certainly is not “assigned at birth,” which is why expecting parents can be told of the sex of their child before he or she is born.

This needs to be said, over and over again, because white people—and I am not talking about blue collar workers—are the dumbest on this subject. No demographic group is smarter than blacks.

The Pew Research Center recently published a new survey titled, “Black Democrats Differ From Other Democrats In Their Views On Gender Identity, Transgender Issues,” that is enlightening. When asked if our sex is determined at birth, 60 percent of Americans agree that it is; 38 percent say it can be different. Among whites the figures are 27 percent and 72 percent, respectively. Among blacks, the breakdown is almost the reverse: 66 percent and 33 percent.

Why are whites the stupidest? The answer is obvious: there is nothing about race that makes someone smart or stupid, but there is something about the college experience—and whites are much more likely to go to college—that impairs the ability to think independently. Quite frankly, many students have been intellectually raped by their professors.

The survey analysts who work at Pew have also stayed in school for a long time. This explains why, despite their excellent research skills, they do not exhibit independent thought.

In this survey, they did not ask if one’s sex is determined at birth. They asked  whether the respondents believed sex is “assigned at birth” or whether it “can be different from sex assigned at birth.” Looks like they’ve been intellectually raped as well.

Given that the colleges are big on diversity and inclusion, it would be great if they hired blacks of college age who are not in school to offer training seminars to college students on how to think independent of their professors. My choice to run the seminars would be Dave Chappelle.

YOUTUBE AGE RESTRICTS DISNEY FILM

Catholic League president Bill Donohue comments on YouTube’s reaction to our Disney film:

We did our movie, “Walt’s Disenchanted Kingdom,” largely because we wanted to alert the public to Disney films that are inappropriate for children, and for the company’s decision to subvert parental rights. Perversely, YouTube slapped an age restriction on our movie, saying, “it may not be appropriate for viewers under 18.”

That’s what we learned on January 31 when we got to work. We immediately appealed, but YouTube stuck to their guns, saying later in the day, “We reviewed your content carefully, and have confirmed that it violates our Community Guidelines.”

They never said which guideline we violated, yet we explicitly asked them to do so. YouTube lists five categories of age-restricted fare: child safety; harmful or dangerous activities, including regulated substances and drugs; nudity and sexually suggestive content; violent or graphic content; and vulgar language. We violated none of these standards.

Conveniently, YouTube also has a catch-all standard, one which is so vague and subjective that it can be imposed on any video they personally find objectionable. “Sometimes content doesn’t violate our policies, but it may not be appropriate for viewers under 18.” In short, they really only need this one “policy,” as their more objective measures can simply be disregarded.

To see a list of videos that YouTube finds totally acceptable, with no age restrictions whatsoever, click here.

The hypocrisy is stunning. We are trying to protect children from being  exploited by those who want to sexually engineer kids in grades K-3— ages 5-8—and we are being restricted from getting our message out to the public!

Well, folks, YouTube is not the only game in town. You can see the movie on Rumble, posted on our website, for free. It is also available at SalemNow and Amazon Prime.
