A Utah bill that would remove reporting exemptions for clergy or other religious leaders who learn of child abuse during a confessional is facing opposition, both within and outside the state.

The New York City-based Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights came out in opposition to Romero’s bill, arguing that it violates religious liberties and would require priests to break the seal of confession. READ MORE HERE
